What type of care do you offer?

At Burnfoot House we provide twenty-four hour nursing care for our residents.

Our experienced and dedicated staff enable us to nurse those with physical disabilities, those who are terminally ill, those with high dependency needs, and those who become infirm.

How will you help me to settle in?

Our experienced team are passionate about welcoming and integrating each resident to their new home, and we will take as much time as you need to settle in to your new home. Residents are welcome to bring personal items, such as photographs, ornaments, etc, to make your room truly your own.

From the moment you arrive at Burnfoot House, our staff will do everything possible to ensure that your stay will be welcoming and comfortable. We will endeavour to make your admission relaxed and informal.

Your family and friends are welcome and may remain with you while you settle into your new surroundings.

How often are visits permitted?

There are no visiting times and friends and family are welcome to visit as often as they want and we encourage them to become fully involved in life at Burnfoot House. However, for reasons of security, it is helpful to know if any visitors are expected after 9pm. You can visit whenever you want, as much as you want.

Can I bring my pet?

At Burnfoot we welcome visits from residents’ pets and can accommodate some animals within the Home itself however, there are strict guidelines for this and we would ask that you discuss this with our Head of Care.

How will I pass the time at Burnfoot House Care Home?

Various social events, entertainment and activities are organized to ensure that there is always something interesting and stimulating going on. Our Activities Coordinator will support and encourage you with any hobby or reminiscence sessions and shopping trips, and individual therapeutic treatments can be arranged to suit your needs.

What is the food like?

A highlight of the day is the appetising meals prepared by our catering staff, using fresh local produce where possible.

Our breakfast, two course dinner, high tea are served in the dining room, however snacks and drinks are available throughout the day, including home baking and - if desired - your tipple of choice. Room service is also available.
